A credit report is a profile of how you have administered your debts. It gives lenders in-depth information about who you are, how much debt you have, whether or not you have made payments on your existing debt on time, and whether or not there’s negative information concerning you in public records. But, because we live in a modern world with unpredictable circumstances, your credit file might contain information you never knew existed. Which is why it is of uttermost importance that you make it a pattern to pull your credit report at least once every year? This will allow you to find inconsistencies in your credit report early and notify credit bureaus immediately.

The three major reporting agencies are: Equifax, TransUnion, and Eperian. These three agencies receive information from multiple creditors, generally once per month, about whether or not you are making loan and credit card payments on time. However, this information might not always be accurate; you have to keep in mind that these agencies work with information given to them by creditors. This is where pulling your credit file every so often becomes imperative. If you see anything in your credit file you have no knowledge of, notify any of the three agencies of the errors immediately; and you don’t have to hire an attorney or spend tons of money on this. All you need is to go to equifax online dispute or any agency of your choosing and initiate an investigation, though I prefer the three major ones – Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian. This, my friends, is done free of charge; save your hard-earned money for other things.

Today, there’s what is known as identity theft – cyber-thieves scour the internet 24/7 for dormant information they can get their thievery hands on; they don’t sleep, and why should you? Keeping your personal information safe is your responsibility. Your identifying data, including: Name, Birth Date, Social Security Number(SSN), Current and previous addresses, Telephone number, and so on, and so forth, should be monitored frequently. Keeping tabs on your identifying information will help credit bureaus retain accurate data in your credit file and help detect fraud before it happens. You don’t have to be the one left to pick-up the pieces together after heartless thugs – keep your personal information in check!

My dearly beloved Nelson Mandela,

I can no longer wait to express my gratitude for what you’ve done – the torture, humiliation, you endured, for decades in confinement, all in the name of freedom, but because nothing is impossible, you were able to overcome. For almost three months, I cried, I begged, I prayed, for you to get better, and when my prayers hit a brick wall, I knew, then, that it wasn’t my call to make, but rather my God’s. I modestly believe that no human being alive today will ever know why and how God makes his decisions.

Yes, my dearly beloved Mandela, you may not be alive to see how the world is reacting to the news – your passing, but this I want you to know, that your legacy will forever live. And indeed, my beloved Mandela, this I do know, that it is for this very reason why history, does in fact, exist.

When the news broke – that you had moved on, I did not know how to receive it, I just wasn’t ready for it quite yet; for a few minutes, I sat there not knowing exactly how to begin to navigate the fact that you were no more. My dearly beloved Mandela, I’m well aware of the fact that you were 95 years old, but knowing that you were there gave me a deeply centered comfort, strength, and dignity, that made me want to keep on pushing forward though at times nothing seemed possible. Knowing that you were there, though unable to do much or anything anymore, made me believe in what is.

Sitting down, staring into space for a few minutes, thinking what now? Oh… my dearly beloved Mandela, know this, that you will be remembered for ages to come, and that in our hearts, you will, indeed, live forever. No words will explain how dearly you will be missed by the multitudes around the globe – REST IN ETERNAL PEACE!
